It’s 2012.
 

We’re all going to die. It could be Mayans, Aliens, Asteroids or Iranians.
 
 It’s 2012 and we’re all going to die. Bummer.
 
But it’s not all doom and gloom. No way. This is a time for rejoicing!
 
Why?  Because Nazareth’s out on tour again! Hooray!
 
These guys laugh in the face of the impending apocalypse. And so should you.  Whooooohahahahaaah.
 
 Just because your homes, your towns and your cities will shortly be reduced to pathetic, smouldering piles of rubble…is that any reason not to have a good time?
 
 Just because all your hopes and aspirations will ultimately count for nothing ….is that any excuse not to party?
 
 Just because, in all probability, you’ll soon be running around like a headless chicken, screaming in terror and begging for mercy. …. Does that mean that tonight you shouldn’t have a few cocktails? Damn right you should.
 
And the boys in Nazareth agree. They’re on your side. Dan, Pete, Jimmy and Lee think that now, more than ever, it’s time to boogie.
 
It’s time to get down with your bad selves. It’s time to throw caution to the wind.
 
 It’s time to take out your life savings and buy stacks of Nazareth albums and collect lots of Nazareth T-Shirts and assorted merchandise.
 
It’s time to go to as many Nazareth gigs as you can and throw money at the stage. Well. …Come on. …You’ll be dead soon. It’s not like you can take it with you.
 
 But wait…What if there was a way to beat this thing?
 
What if I was to tell you that new evidence has come to light that suggests we could all be rocking out to Nazareth in 2013 and beyond?
 
A team of scientists from somewhere (I can’t remember right now, but it’s somewhere with a reputable reputation) has recently made an astounding discovery. Firstly, they took all the letters in the name ‘McCafferty’ and assigned each letter a symbol from ancient Mayan text. They then gave each of those symbols a number and multiplied those numbers by the number 2012. Next they divided that figure by the circumference of a big Mayan temple (that I don’t know the name of, but it’s a biggie) in order to get another number. That was then changed to another number that had something to do with Orion’s Belt. That number was then ran through a computer like the ones scientists have, and converted back into letters again. The resulting text is almost unbelievable. It reads: “He is The One, chosen to lead us into the light”.
 

Wow. Who knew? That’s some fairly heavy juju right there. McCafferty will “lead us into the light”.
 
 That alone has got to be worth the price of the ticket for tonight’s show.
 Nazareth won’t just rock your socks off. They’re not just here to remind you that ‘Love Hurts’. It turns out that everyone’s favorite gravel voiced crooner, the ‘Silver Fox of Rock’ himself, the one and only Dan McCafferty, can also offer you a shot at redemption , How cool is that?!
 
 But you have to be in it to win it , And you’ve come to the right place.
 
Together we shall find salvation. Now lets show 2012 that we’ve got the right stuff. Nazareth will be back to see you again…. you can bet on that!

Hope all you Naz Maniacs are getting ready for this one. It's been 2 long years since we toured the UK and we're champing at the bit to get started.

We kick off at "Classic Grand" in Glasgow (what a place to start for a bunch of wandering Scots Minstrels) and it should be a beauty. Dan loves it 'cos he can talk to the audience in his home tongue (ken whut ah mean?) 

The poor guy spends most of the tours trying to master Russian, Portugese, Serbo Croat and even English sometimes.
 So tell all your friends from Russia, Mongolia, Thailand and Maryhill to get along to this gig to soak up a bit of Scottish culture.

Many of you have complained in the past that we don't sell enough of a merchandise selection so this time we have a whole bunch of CDs from times gone by and some cute T-shirts (well we think we look cute in them)
 Let's kick off the tour with a "belter!!
