The latest remasters from salvo Expect No Mercy and No Mean City, are to be released on June 7th,

Both albums come with extensive new sleeve notes from Pete ,Dan and Manny,and bonus tracks.

Expect no mercy will contain for the very first time the full alternative version of the album recorded by the band, this includes two songs that have never before been released.

Tune in to Bruce Dickinson’s Friday rock show on BBC Radio 6 on March 12 (9pm til midnight) to hear an entertaining interview with Dan And Pete The Guys recorded the show on February 15, before their gig at the Relentless Garage in London.

Nazareth Remasters

Salvo Records are set to reissue all of the Nazareth albums, the albums will be Remastered with extra bonus tracks relating to the album concerned.plus new sleeve notes.The First to be released will be a new 2 cd 'The Anthology' collection, then Nazareth and Exercises in one single package,followed by Razamanaz .

Loud n Proud,Rampant and Hair of the dog,are also now availiable .

In April the original Greatest hits will be released with eight exrta tracks ,plus Close Enough for rock and roll and Playin the Game, these two albums will be released as one CD with added bonus tracks and new sleeve notes.

June will see Expect No Mercy and No Mean City ,More details on these soon..

Rock meets Classic a review by Pete Agnew

I went to see Dan on the "Rock meets Classic" tour in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt on Tuesday night. The man was in fine voice and looked very smart up there wearing his shirt and tie. I suggested we might have to get a valet on the road for the next Naz tour.
He did 5 songs starting with "Dream On" (I know that sounds strange starting with a slow ballad but it really worked)  then on to "Hair of the Dog", "Holiday", "Love Hurts" and"This Flight Tonight". The orchestra was excellent and very young. The rock band consisted of guitar, bass, keyboard and drums and believe me, these boys can play. The out front sound was excellent and I really could have listened to maybe another 3 or 4 songs but time didn`t allow that.
Bobby Kimball was next up and although I was vever a big Toto fan I enjoyed his set and had to admire his vocal prowess.
The interval came and it was time to nip backstage and pinch one of Dan`s beers.
Spoke for a wee while with Lou Gramm and then went back out to watch his set. I always liked Foreigner when we played shows with them in the U.S.  They were an excellent live band and for Lou nothing has changed. All the hits were there and he gave a great performance.
To finish the show Dan and Bobby came on and joined Lou for the finale that kicked off with Dan doing Razamanaz and during this I went backstage again to avoid the crush at the end. 
I should mention that I had a great seat slap bang in the middle about 10 rows back but it still felt weird watching Dan and not playing up there with him.
I should also have mentioned that there were 3 female back-up singers and they were fabulous.
It`s a pity you all can't get to see the show but no doubt you'll be seeing Dan with Naz soon.

A special Christmas message

Well it's that time of year again when we look back at all the things we did and think about all the things we didn't do but should have done.
In our case we had some tremendously successful tours and if we didn't do some things it's because we never had time to do them.
We got a bit of a fright in September when Dan was hospitalized with a very serious case of food poisoning.  When he was released from hospital the doctors told him he should rest for at least 6 weeks. Needless to say, Dan was on stage in Kazakhstan 10 days later.
Our other hero was Jimmy, who's arm, shoulder and back seized up during the longest Russian tour we've ever undertaken. He was told by doctors to pack it in and go home to give it a chance to heal. As you know, he kept on playing in some serious pain but anyone who saw him would never have known. He played brilliantly and we're all proud of him.
Although we didn't play 'quite' as many shows as we did in 2008 we covered more miles this year. I think Nazareth must have some kind of record for distance travelled by a band in any given year and next year is shaping up to be another 'long trip'.
I must thank all of you who helped us throughout the year with arrangements and tours. You are too many to name but you know who you are and more importantly so do we.
We couldn't do it without you.
To all the fans we have to say ,thank you once again from the bottom of our hearts for your support and encouragement. You are the best.
We are having a break now but will be back with guns blazing in 2010. Let's hope that we hit all the places you live and no-one is left out.
Until then the band and crew wish you a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
